An Explanation

Last week, Sarah and Avery were rolling around in the office in the desk chairs. Avery was pushing Sarah when she hit the raised section of the floor between the wood and the tile. The chair tipped forward and threw Sarah out onto the tile. She banged her forhead so hard, the goose egg was literally the size of an egg. Over the next few days, the swelling began to lessen but the bruising spread from her head to her eyes. So both of her eyes look black. My theory is that Sarah hitting her head has been the cause for her super nasty behavior. See, the frontal lobe of the brain is located behind the area she hit.

This is what wikipedia says about the function of the frontal lobe--"The executive functions of the frontal lobes involve the ability to recognize future consequences resulting from current actions, to choose between good and bad actions (or better and best), override and suppress unacceptable social responses, and determine similarities and differences between things or events. Therefore, it is involved in higher mental functions."

Hmmm! It seems there is definitely some damage there. Maybe I should just forget about being a nurse and become a doctor instead!

Look at my poor baby. I hope she will heal soon.

This picture does not do the damage justice. It looks much worse than this.

Thats crazy because the exact same thing happened to ambers girl. It started with a goose egg and turned into black eyes and pus inbetween her eyes. She took her in and the doctor said its just gravity pulling everything down and if there was something wrong they would have needed to catch it in the first week. She was freaked out by it- she said it looked awful.
