I recently watched a slide show that showed how dangerous plastic bags were for the environment.I honestly had no idea how many foreign countries and US cities had banned the use of plastic bags! Well, it inspired me to try a little harder especially since I do plenty of grocery shopping and dispose of plenty of those little plastic bags. If any of you have any other suggestions on going green for me, I would love to hear them.

last week after watching an Oprah I decided to try not to waste as much. so while I was doing megs hair I only turned the water on to a trickle. Well about 3 hours later I walked by the bathroom and heard a noise and yep the water was still running. then after dinner I swore I had turned off the over, well about 9:30 at night I walk by it and feel some heat and yup, the oven was still on. So much for saving the enviornment!!
I took an environmental health class last year and we learned a few good things to do in there, but I'm lazy and haven't really started doing any of them yet. Simple things like using tide cold water so you don't use hot water to wash your clothes saves energy. Buying the cardboard refills of stuff like detergent and handsoap so you waste less plastic. HGTV has a bunch of good ideas on their website. I'm so impressed. I should follow your example and be a little better. I was also so impressed with your tomatoes. Good job Lake!
Hey Lake! Thanks for your note on our blog! We are way excited and maybe 3rd time is the charm (for a boy that is). Granted I would love another girl! Cameron toyed with the Idea of texas for a little while, but then knew that he needs to start settling down. Brooklyn is doing T-ball this summer and I am so excited for her. Hope you are doing well!
I switched to the Tide Coldwater detergent. It doesn't really take any extra effort on my part to use it and it saves money...and helps the environment.
