The risks of getting bigger and bigger...

Because I have had the opportunity to experience both a c-section and natural birth, I am desperately hoping to have a natural birth again. Recovering from a c-section is, in my opinion, a nightmare. That opinion is based on only having one child to care for during the recovery--I cannot imagine having to care for three in that condition. Needless to say, I have been very concerned with the amount of growth I am experiencing during this pregnancy. Preferably, the baby should be small. Genetics and past experience dictate that producing an average size baby may be difficult for me. My mom had big babies and Avery was just over nine pounds when she was born. I was fortunate Sarah was only seven pounds. My last appointment combined with the results of the ultrasound were discouraging. I gained quite a bit of weight in one month and the baby was measuring large when we found out his sex. Also, I have been browsing through pictures of my last pregnancies and have discovered that I am bigger now than I was with the other ones. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

About 6 1/2 months pregnant with Avery

About 6 months pregnant with Sarah

About 6 1/2 months with baby boy (Scary!)

You look so normal!! If not better then normal! Just count your blessing that you are not super short and everyone thinks that you are due any day now. People always ask me that about 3 months too early. Also boys are supposedly lower which makes you look bigger. I am so glad you posted some of you though, I was very curious on how you looked. Cameron would only say, "She looks pregnant."
Doctors always worry about something: gaining too much weight, or not enough.
Also, we will let you know no worries.

I think you look good and my fingers are crossed that everything goes as planned. I was so excited to see your baby countdown to less than 100 days!

Thanks!! We are so excited! Cameron will call and ask me if he is still a boy. I suppose third time is the charm for both of us. Our kids will all be in school at the same time! Do you think this is your last?

Sarah (Porter) Harward here, and I just wanted to say congrats and you look GREAT! I too, am pregnant with our third (due in December) and we just found out we're having another boy! My poor Addie will be smooshed between two brothers. I was reading over your entries about your pregnancy and all I can say is AMEN! I'm WAY bigger with this one than I was with the others, I've already been dealing with heartburn, and I've been feeling the baby move for about 3 or more weeks now (and I'm 20 weeks along). Anyway, looks like you guys are doing great, and if you don't mind I'd like to add you guys to my list of blog friends. Please feel free to add us (or check it out) at sarahharward.blogspot.com
