Baby Kate is FIVE days old. We finally decided on a name for her. She no longer needs the lights and I get the opportunity to feed her a bottle. Her IV fluids are being decreased as her feedings are being increased. The NICU doctor informs me that Katie is way ahead of schedule. Fingers crossed she will be home sooner than three weeks.

Oh my! I'm so sorry that she came early and has to spend so much time in NICU instead of being home with you! I'm so glad to hear that for a premie she seems to be doing remarkably well!! I love her name too! My little Ella was supposed to be Kathryn (Kate) but at the very last minute, we changed it to Ella Kathryn. I've been in love with that name (and pretty much every spelling of that name) since I was a little girl. Hope she's home soon!!
